Job summary

QUESS ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Angular to design, develop, and deliver enterprise applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

You will lead technical solution design, contribute to application architecture, mentor development teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable architecture and technical solutions.
• Design and develop responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and ensure adherence to standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Perform technical analysis, effort estimation, and solution planning for enhancements and new initiatives.
• Support system integration, testing, UAT, deployment, and post-production support.
• Investigate and resolve complex defects and performance issues via root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and deployment procedures.
• Mentor development teams and promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, quality, and development processes.

The successful candidate will lead technical solution design, contribute to application architecture, mentor development teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications using Java and Angular.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable application architecture and technical solutions.
• Design and develop responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

• Perform technical analysis, effort estimation, and solution planning for application enhancements and new initiatives.
• Support system integration, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and post-production support.
• Investigate and resolve complex application defects, production incidents, and performance issues through root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and deployment procedures.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to development teams, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
