Job summary

Beyondsoft Consulting (Singapore) Pte. Ltd is seeking software engineers to design, develop and maintain applications across cloud-native environments.

You will implement secure coding practices and contribute to the full software lifecycle, including testing and deployment, with emphasis on GitOps, CI/CD, and containerized solutions. The role requires experience with Java/C++/Python/Node.js and web technologies, plus DevOps and OSS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Java, C++, Python or Node.js, plus HTML/CSS.
• Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, Red Hat Linux or similar.
• Familiarity with DevOps, automation, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with testing/validation platforms for real-time or safety-critical software.
• Experience building cloud-native apps for virtualization and containerization.
• Knowledge of Open Source tools and OSS evaluation.
• Understanding of Security by Design concepts in software engineering.
• Source Code Management and GitOps, pipeline automation.
• Data parsing, ETL and stream management knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications according to approved requirements and architecture
• Implement secure coding practices and Security by Design principles across the software lifecycle
• Build and support cloud-native applications for virtualised and containerised deployment
• Maintain source code, branching and release practices using GitOps principles and pipeline automation
• Develop data parsing, extract-transform-load (ETL) and stream management solutions
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing and defect fixing, and support integration and acceptance testing
• Evaluate COTS and open source components and recommend suitable options
• Prepare technical documentation and provide L3 technical support for deployed applications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in software development using programming languages like Java, C++, Python or Node.js, HTML, CSS
• Familiarity with different Operating Systems, for example Windows, UNIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, etc.
• Familiarity with DevOps environment, with a focus on automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, preferably within a regulated environment
• Experience with testing and validation platforms for real-time software applications and/or safety-critical systems
• Building and/or supporting cloud-native applications for virtualised and/or containerised deployment
• Knowledge of Open Source tools within the domain, and COTS & Open Source Software evaluation
• Understanding of Security by Design concepts and implementation in Software Engineering
• Source Code Management and GitOps principles, pipeline automation
• Data parsing & manipulation, Extract, Transform and Load solutions and Stream Management solutions
