Job summary

Bitdeer, a world-leading Bitcoin mining and AI cloud tech company, seeks an experienced HPC/Slurm engineer in Singapore. You will design, deploy, and operate production Slurm clusters across bare metal and VM environments, implementing topology-aware GPU scheduling and multi-tenant access controls for large-scale workloads.

You will also lead Kubernetes-based orchestration with Slinky/slurm-operator, ensure high availability, and drive automation using Terraform/Ansible while maintaining health

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HPC, systems, or cloud infrastructure engineering.
• 4+ years operating production Slurm clusters at 100+ GPU-node scale with real users.
• Strong GPU and fabric fundamentals: DCGM, InfiniBand/RoCE, MIG, GPUDirect RDMA.
• Production Kubernetes experience and familiarity with operator/CRD patterns.
• Experience delivering both bare-metal and VM-based clusters and automation with Terraform/Ansible.
• Knowledge of parallel and shared storage for AI workloads (Lustre, GPFS, NFS).
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation; Go is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate Slurm clusters on bare metal and VMs with HA and secure auth.
• Manage topology-aware scheduling and multi-tenant policies for GPUs.
• Lead Slinky slurm-operator or equivalent on Kubernetes and evaluate co-scheduling strategies.
• Ensure cluster health with monitoring, diagnostics, and automated recovery.
• Deliver infrastructure as code via Terraform/Ansible with reproducible images.
