WPP PRODUCTION PTE. LIMITED in Singapore is seeking a Freelance Copywriter (Simplified Chinese) to shape the creative direction and transcreate content for campaigns in Singapore and Malaysia.

You will craft clear, concise, and compelling copy for web, in-store, eDMs, and other marketing channels, collaborating with in-market and global teams. The role requires a detail-oriented writer with strong Mandarin and English skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and travel to Singapore as

Qualifications

• 5 years experience as an advertising copywriter for Simplified Chinese language.
• Creative thinker with copywriting and copyediting skills and thorough understanding of tone/brand voice.
• Worked on tech brands (international and regional).
• Confident presenting creative ideas clearly with right level of detail.
• Cares about the craft and writes thoughtfully, clearly, inspiring and provocative at times.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication in Mandarin and English.
• Understanding of language subtleties, especially for adapting creative.
• Team player who works closely with editors and production teams.
• Must be able to travel to Singapore occasionally and adapt under time pressure.
• Must be flexible and adapt in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Transcreate/Write, copyedit, review, and elevate campaign copy for SEA across channels.
• Maintain brand tone of voice across media formats.
• Ensure messages align with English master copy and strategic/product messages.
• Guide and maintain quality of translated long copy.
• Review and approve translated marketing copy from translation partners.
• Work with a team of copywriters, editors and translators to ensure quality.
• Validate TV, print and digital advertising and advise on client decisions.
