Job summary

Seaquest Singapore seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage all yard operations, overseeing day-to-day activities, manpower planning, and project coordination while ensuring compliance with Singapore WSH, MOM and quality requirements.

You will drive process improvements, supervise managers and workers, and coordinate with clients and shipyard management to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Singaporean/PR with proven yard experience in Singapore.
• Min 8 years experience in shipyard operations in Singapore with at least 3 years as Operations Manager/Yard Manager.
• Familiar with Singapore shipyard safety regulations, permit-to-work system, risk assessment.
• Strong leadership in managing 100+ foreign workers (dormitory, welfare, productivity).
• Proficient in English (spoken/written), able to coordinate with multinational teams.
• Class 3 driving license advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee entire functional activities of the Singapore Operation Department.
• Full coordination, administration and management of marine/shipyard projects.
• Plan, schedule and foresee manpower deployment at yard and onboard vessels.
• Ensure all project managers, foremen, supervisors and workers are adequately trained, qualified and certified.
• Liaise with shipyard management, owners and clients to resolve operational issues.
• Coordinate with client on site office, site store within Singapore yards.
• Assist in tender estimation and administration when required.
• Monitor project budget, costs and expenses.
• Capable of handling more than one project based on complexity and scope.
• Assist Management Representative to implement and maintain QMS (ISO 9001) and OHS (ISO 45001) systems.
