Senior Shipbuilding Project Manager

Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, coordination and supervision of shipbuilding projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, production and quality assurance to deliver on time, within budget, and to high standards.

Responsibilities include risk management, status reporting to senior management and clients, and ensuring HSE practices throughout project workflows.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of project management experience in marine/shipbuilding.
• Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes, standards and specs.
• Excellent organisation and leadership across diverse teams.
• Proficient with PM tools to generate schedules and reports.
• Budget control and supplier management experience.
• PM certification (PMP or equivalent) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, milestones and resources.
• Coordinate activities to meet timelines and budgets.
• Lead risk management and mitigation efforts.
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement to ensure quality and contracts compliance.
• Conduct regular status reviews and detailed reports for management and clients.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental practices are integrated on site.
• Drive continuous improvement using lessons learned for future projects.
