Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations) for the Kranji Water Reclamation Plant. You will assist in monitoring and controlling plant processes, supervising contractor crews, and ensuring safety and quality across shifts.

The role involves responding to abnormalities, recording readings, performing site checks, sampling, and adhering to SOPs. Rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shift Leader to monitor and control plant operations including chemical dosing, electrical and mechanical equipment, and auxiliaries safely.
• Supervise contractor’s workers on operation of treatment processes, auxiliary equipment and safety compliance.
• Respond to abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.
• Record process and equipment readings, perform site checks, and troubleshoot minor equipment failures.
• Carry out sampling and testing of process parameters to ensure compliance to desired quality output.
• Attend to alarms detected within the Plant.

Education

Diploma in Engineering Discipline (Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics/Chemical Engineering or relevant engineering)
