Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer to join the PROCT and ADT teams. The role focuses on early maturity phases of new products, helping improve yield, quality, and cost through process development and supplier engagement.

Travel to Micron sites abroad is required. Ideal candidates bring 5–7+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, expertise in Etch/Films/Planarization, and a strong grounding in SPC, device physics, and AI-driven workflows to advance

Qualifications

Advanced degree in a relevant field (EE/ME/MSE or related).
5–7+ years of trouble shooting, experimental design, and data analysis in manufacturing.
Experience with semiconductor processing hardware and processes (Etch/Films/Planarization).
Strong knowledge of SPC and process control in engineering contexts.
Experience or interest in AI workflows and AI Agents integration in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Technology Development on future technology requirements and roadmapping.
Engage with suppliers to align resources with strategic objectives.
Collaborate with Manufacturing on new product introductions to improve performance and qualification.
Develop models for unit process and module-level roadmapping.
Maintain and expand expertise across multiple process/hardware/technology areas.
Support module, process and hardware optimization; apply AI concepts where relevant.
