Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking a Senior Security Engineer who combines hands-on security engineering with consulting and advisory capabilities to strengthen clients' cybersecurity posture. You will conduct security assessments, design and implement solutions across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in cybersecurity with focus on security engineering, consulting, assessments, implementation, or advisory services.
• Experience identifying security risks, conducting gap assessments, and recommending remediation plans.
• Hands-on design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions across endpoints, networks, cloud, and identities.
• Experience engaging customers or business teams in consulting or project delivery.
• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and modern cybersecurity technologies.
• Familiarity with SASE solutions and security frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity assessments and identify risks, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
• Design, evaluate, and implement cybersecurity solutions across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity environments.
• Support POC activities, technical workshops, vendor evaluations, and customer discussions.
• Prepare assessment reports, project documentation, presentations, and technical recommendations.
• Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver security projects successfully.
• Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.

This individual will be responsible for conducting security assessments, designing and implementing security solutions, and working closely with customers and stakeholders to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, CySA+, GIAC, AWS Security, Azure Security, or Microsoft Security certifications.
• Experience working with Japan stakeholders and familiarity with Japan business culture would be an advantage, but is not required.
