Job summary

The Singapore Food Agency's National Centre for Food Science is seeking a Scientist / Senior Scientist (Food Safety Analytics & Epidemiology) to drive data-driven monitoring and research in food safety. You will design and maintain automated data pipelines, develop analytical models, and collaborate across disciplines to strengthen national surveillance in Singapore.

You will communicate actionable findings to stakeholders, publish results, and support ongoing improvements in food safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in data analytics, statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology or related field
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (SPSS, Stata, PowerBI, Tableau)
• Ability to manage large datasets, clean data, and ensure data integrity
• Experience in epidemiological study design or statistical analysis for research will be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated data pipelines for AI-driven food monitoring systems
• Develop and optimize statistical and ML models, incl. time-series, for risk assessment
• Implement analytics techniques and maintain documentation for data pipelines
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to advance the national food safety monitoring programme
• Communicate findings to diverse stakeholders through reports, publications, and presentations
