Job summary

ARTC, part of A*STAR, is seeking a Scientist/Senior Scientist to lead research in modelling, optimisation, and AI for enterprise multi-resource planning. You will drive advances in operations research and translate innovations into solutions for multinational clients and local firms.

You will design and benchmark novel algorithms, mentor researchers, and publish results in top journals, while engaging with industry partners to shape ARTC's R&D roadmap.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI/CS/OR with focus on simulation, optimisation, ML or data science.
• 5+ years of post-PhD research experience.
• Strong background in production scheduling, operations planning, capacity planning, or sourcing/inventory analytics.
• Proven programming and algorithm development in Python; C# .NET advantageous.
• Publications in top-tier journals/conferences; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead research in rapid simulations, optimisation algorithms, and AI-enhanced workflows for enterprise multi-resource planning.
• Design practical algorithms for industry problems and benchmark against state-of-the-art methods.
• Translate research outcomes into deployable industrial solutions with research engineers.
• Develop innovative research directions and project proposals aligned with industry needs.
• Drive funding proposals and collaborations with industry and academia.
