Job summary

A*STAR is seeking a Research Scientist to develop next-generation AI solutions for forecasting and predictive analytics used in operational decision support. You will work with multi-modal data including weather observations, imagery, time-series sensor data, and foundation models to deliver actionable intelligence for real-world applications.

Collaborate with researchers, engineers and domain experts to translate research into deployable AI systems, contribute to publications and technology

Qualifications

• PhD required or equivalent research experience in AI/ML.
• Proven expertise in ML/DL, time-series, and predictive analytics.
• Strong programming skills in Python and DL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate advanced ML/DL models for forecasting and decision support.
• Design AI solutions for large-scale spatio-temporal datasets from diverse sources.
• Build and validate predictive models for operational intelligence and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, domain experts and stakeholders to translate research into deployable solutions.
• Contribute to scientific publications, IP generation and technology transfer.
