Job summary

IAIC, part of A*STAR, seeks scientists to shape scalable software for sustainable energy systems. You will model, simulate, and optimise power networks and digital-twin capabilities for AI-enabled workflows.

You will contribute to software for power system planning and operations, collaborating with government and industry partners. A PhD and strong coding skills in Python3/C/C++ are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD in electrical/power engineering, computer science, OR related fields.
• Strong Python3 and/or C/C++ programming abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted productivity tools and copilots.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Research, build and validate physics-based and data-driven computational models for power systems.
• Design and prototype digital-twin capabilities for distributed energy resources and microgrids.
• Collaborate with an agile team to deploy scalable software solutions for planning and operation.
• Support research proposals, technical reports, and collaborations with partners.
