Job summary

Planet Pharma is partnering with a state-of-the-art research platform in Singapore to recruit a Scientist/Senior Scientist in Infectious Diseases, Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics. This role offers full relocation and visa support.

You will design flow cytometry panels, develop in vitro/in vivo models, and help translate discovery into IND-enabling work, collaborating across teams in a global translational agenda.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology or related field.
• Strong post-PhD translational track record.
• Hands-on flow cytometry panel design and in vivo models essential.
• Exposure to RNA-LNP platforms, vaccine immunogenicity, or translational workflows (SOPs, IND preparation) valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze multi-parameter flow cytometry panels to evaluate immune responses.
• Develop robust in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models for therapeutic candidate characterization.
• Bridge to development by guiding junior scientists and moving programs from discovery towards clinical translation.

This role is specifically designed for a senior scientific thinker who genuinely enjoys being close to the science and doing the work, rather than just managing from a desk.

What you will do:

• Drive Bench Discovery: Independently design, execute, and analyze multi-parameter flow cytometry panels (staining, compensation, and analysis) to evaluate cellular and humoral immune responses.
• Develop Assays: Build and optimize robust in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models for therapeutic candidate characterisation.
• Bridge to Development: Guide junior scientists and contribute your expertise to moving programs smoothly from discovery towards clinical translation.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: PhD in Immunology, Vaccinology, Virology, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Strong post-PhD experience (scaled appropriately for Scientist or Senior Scientist levels) with a strong translational track record.
• Technical Mastery: Exceptional, independent hands-on experience with flow cytometry panel design and in vivo models is essential.
• Advantageous Skills: Exposure to mRNA-LNP platforms, vaccine immunogenicity, or translational workflows (SOPs, IND preparation) is highly valued, but we are flexible on the exact mix for the right candidate.
