Job summary

Argyll Scott Singapore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable solutions in a fast-paced Agile setting. You will mentor junior developers and collaborate with regional and global teams to build features using Scala/Java.

The role involves event sourcing, CQRS, TDD/ATDD, and CI practices, with hands-on work across SDLC automation tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Scala and/or Java.
• Solid understanding of OOP and Functional Programming.
• Experience with Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns.
• Familiarity with TDD/BDD/ATDD and CI practices.
• Hands-on with Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, scalable solutions using modern software practices.
• Collaborate with regional/global teams to design features in Scala/Java.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence.
• Apply event sourcing, CQRS, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Write well-tested code with TDD/BDD/ATDD and CI.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and drive improvements.
• Work with SDLC automation tools: Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible.
• Optimize performance and contribute to system design discussions.
