ARGYLL SCOTT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Java Developer for Global Markets on a 12-month contract in Singapore. The role focuses on hands-on Java development, with exposure to middleware, messaging and integration platforms within a high-risk banking environment.

The candidate should have strong Core Java experience, experience with middle-tier services, and familiarity with SDLC automation tools. Global Markets knowledge is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of software development experience, preferably in Financial Services.
• Strong Core Java expertise and hands-on programming skills.
• Experience with middle-tier services and messaging technologies.
• Familiarity with SDLC automation tools like Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible.
• Knowledge of TDD and CI practices.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Spend roughly 80% of time on hands-on programming and development activities.
• Develop, enhance and maintain applications within Global Markets environment.
• Collaborate with global teams to design and build new functionality on shared platforms (MuleSoft, TIBCO).
• Interact with end users, compliance teams, and senior stakeholders to define requirements.
• Provide Level 3 production support for business-critical applications.
• Adhere to design patterns and software engineering best practices.
