Job summary

Hioki Singapore PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Rust Engineer to build the core engine behind our AI-native industrial data and analytics platform.

You will develop the runtime, SDK, data processing, integrations and platform services powering customer applications across industrial, edge and cloud environments. This role is based in Singapore and works closely with teams in Singapore and Japan. You will contribute to hardware-software-data integrations and optimize performance for large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Rust expertise and systems programming knowledge.
• Experience designing libraries, SDKs or platform APIs.
• Strong Linux development experience.
• Experience with networking, data processing or distributed systems.
• Excellent debugging and performance-analysis skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core platform services in Rust.
• Design and improve SDKs and developer APIs.
• Build high-performance data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Develop connectors for industrial systems, APIs and external data sources.
• Improve platform reliability, observability and performance.
• Support edge and cloud deployment environments.
• Collaborate with application engineers on developer experience.
• Use AI coding agents for implementation and testing.
• Own test strategy and quality for safety-adjacent software.
