Job summary

Hioki E.E. Corporation in Singapore seeks a Senior Rust Engineer to build and evolve the core engine behind our AI-native industrial data platform.

You will develop the runtime, SDK, data processing, integrations and platform services for edge and cloud environments. This role requires 5+ years of software experience with strong Rust skills, systems programming and concurrency, plus the ability to work with teams in Singapore and Japan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Software/EE or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Rust and systems programming skills.
• Understanding of concurrency, networking and distributed systems.
• Experience with debugging and performance analysis.
• Comfortable with AI coding agents and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core platform services in Rust.
• Design and improve SDKs and developer APIs.
• Build high-performance data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Develop connectors for industrial systems and external data sources.
• Improve platform reliability, observability and performance.
• Support edge and cloud deployment environments.
• Collaborate with application engineers to improve developer experience.
• Leverage AI-assisted development for implementation, testing and documentation.
• Own test strategy and quality for safety-adjacent industrial software.
