Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own AMR platform end-to-end from prototype to large-scale deployment.
• Build and optimize control software for real-time dispatch between ground robot and drone payload.
• Integrate LiDAR, depth cameras, and IMUs using ROS2 (Nav2) for differential/omnidirectional drive systems.
• Lead hardware and electrical design — power distribution, wiring, chassis vendor management, mass-production readiness.
• Lay groundwork to grow into Robotics Team Lead as deployment scales.

Our client is an AI startup building intelligent supply chain solutions across Southeast Asia — from demand forecasting to inventory optimisation. They're a lean, engineering-first team that moves fast and gives engineers real ownership over the products they build.

The Role

They're looking for a Senior AMR System Engineer to take full ownership of a brand-new AMR platform — from initial concept and prototype through to commercial, mass-scale deployment. This is a 0-to-1 build: you'll be the founding technical hire on the mobile robotics side, with a clear path to building and leading the robotics team as the platform scales.

What You'll Do

• Owning the AMR platform end-to-end — from POC and prototyping through to large-scale deployment in complex retail/warehouse environments
• Building and optimizing control software that coordinates real-time dispatch and communication between the ground robot and its onboard drone payload
• Integrating LiDAR, depth cameras, and IMUs using ROS2 (Nav2 stack) for differential/omnidirectional drive systems
• Leading hardware and electrical design — power distribution, wiring schematics, chassis vendor management, and mass-production readiness
• Laying the groundwork to step into a Robotics Team Lead role as the team and deployment scale

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in robotics system engineering, including 3+ years specifically in AMR/AGV development, with a proven track record of commercial/industrial deployment
• Strong command of C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, real-time control systems, SLAM, path planning, and localization
• Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical integration, power systems, sensor fusion, and on-site troubleshooting
• Bonus: OpenCV experience, an industrial vision background, and a startup mindset ready to grow into technical leadership
