Job summary

Nanyang Technological University is seeking a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering to advance computations in EUV generation and electron–photon interactions. The role emphasizes ab initio theory and software development using C++ and Python.

You will lead scholarly work, present at international conferences, and contribute to grant writing while supervising graduate and undergraduate researchers.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, mathematics, engineering or related field.
• Strong background in electrodynamics simulations techniques.
• Strong background in C++, Python or similar languages.
• Strong background in theoretical physics and mathematical physics.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in nanofabrication and experimental design.

Responsibilities

• Computationally solve electrodynamics problems involving electron-photon and electron-matter interactions in the EUV regime.
• Develop new software for modeling EM phenomena using C++ and Python.
• Formulate theories pertaining to EUV generation from Maxwell’s equations and QED.
• Lead papers and publish in high-impact journals.
• Present at top-tier international conferences.
• Assist PI in grants and supervision of graduate and undergraduate students.
• Provide logistical support pertaining to laboratory operation.
