Job summary

NTU's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow to advance the AIoT system in a major Soundscape project. The role focuses on data curation, AI model training, edge-AI deployment, subjective evaluation and implementation across platforms.

Responsibilities include developing audio processing algorithms, maintaining existing code bases, conducting feasibility studies, and publishing results.

Qualifications

• PhD qualification in soundscape engineering and evaluation or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in soundscape engineering and evaluation.
• Proficiency in AI programming (Python) and R; good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to design subjective experiments and evaluations and publish soundscape papers.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, optimize and test audio-focused source code.
• Maintain and improve audio algorithms including noise reduction and echo cancellation.
• Support research tasks and produce detailed reports with recommendations.
• Develop new audio processing solutions including codecs and microphone array processing.
• Manage project requirements, schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
• Publish journal and conference papers as dictated by projects.
• Guide Master/Undergraduate students.
• Requires more than 5 years of industry experience in this area.
