Job summary

A*STAR Research Entities (A*STAR) is seeking a Senior Semiconductor Process Technician to operate diverse tool types in a cleanroom setting. You will work at One North or Ang Mo Kio, following process specifications, and assist with setup protocols, change notifications, and data collection.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in semiconductor fabrication, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to guide a team of operators in a fast-paced R&D atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microelectronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., Photolithography, Etch, Thin Films, Diffusion, CMP, Metrology, bonder).
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor operations in a cleanroom environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• Team player with good communication skills, ability to work independently and guide operators.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle and operate multiple tool types of semiconductor tools in a cleanroom environment.
• Working Location: One North or Ang Mo Kio.
• Use computer-based programs to perform daily tasks.
• Operate tools per process specs and set up protocols and change notifications.
• Participate in on-the-job training and complete required trainings.
• Provide operation coverage and backup tool operations support as needed.
• Monitor tool output and coordinate with Engineers-in-Charge for error recovery and lot movement.
• Demonstrate teamwork in executing process sequences and data collection.
