Job summary

BW Digital Pte Limited seeks a Subsea Cable Engineer to support planning, design, survey, installation, testing and commissioning of submarine fibre-optic cable systems. You will interact with project owners, suppliers, marine contractors and regulators across the project lifecycle.

The role reports to the Programme Director – Marine, with location flexibility for Singapore-based or remote work, and requires extensive travel as needed to support projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in subsea infrastructure
• Experience in marine route design pre-/post-Marine Route Survey
• Experience with GIS platforms (ArcGIS/QGIS/Global Mapper)
• Knowledge of marine survey, burial and protection techniques
• Offshore installation methods and vessel-based activities
• Understanding of cable crossings and third-party interfaces
• Experience with developing and negotiating technical volumes in supply contracts
• Experience selecting and managing contractors, vendors or suppliers

Responsibilities

• Route and cable engineering works and feasibility studies
• Manage Marine Route Survey works and contractor deliverables
• Support procurement and contract negotiation
• Provide support during design, installation and marine operations
• Manage crossing negotiations and agreements
• Maintain project databases and reports
• Support permitting and regulatory activities
• Support O&M activities and cable repair works
• Engage with local and international industry bodies
• Travel as required
