Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 3+ years in Record-to-Report (R2R), GL, or financial reporting.
• Basic Japanese language proficiency for tax/financial data tasks.
• Proficiency in SAP preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of engagements and build client relationships.
• Ensure no back-flow of workload to client and SLA requirements are met.
• Coach the team to allocate and complete work timely and accurately.
• Prepare and maintain operational and financial reports for business and client reporting.
• Perform VAT/GST data reconciliation against SAP records for accuracy.

Working hours: Mon - Fri ; 8.30am to 5.30pm (with Hybrid work arrangements)

Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the operations of the engagements and build client relationships.
• Ensure no back-flow of workload to client and SLA requirements are met.
• Responsible for coaching the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner (Based on service agreement with client)
• Prepare and maintain operational and financial reports to support business and client reporting requirements.
• Perform reconciliation of VAT tax invoices against SAP records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Review POS exception reports and investigate incomplete or irregular transactions for timely resolution.
• Complete ASP labour claims
• Downloading division’s Control Data
• Extract GL detailed listing & analyse data
• Download GST report & combine data by tax code
• Download Japan withholding tax payment info and apply FX rates
• Collate and update disposal information to FA portal script
• Perform revenue reconciliations between Financial Statement balances and GST reporting data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Consolidate monthly data for annual tax audit purposes
• Consolidate monthly data for annual WHT filing purposes
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, workflow enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
• Any other tasks related to this role and requested by manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), General Ledger (GL), or financial reporting functions.
• Basic Japanese language proficiency required to perform specific job-related tasks involving Japanese tax and financial data
• Proficiency in SAP preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience in tax reporting, GST/VAT compliance and audit support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
