Job summary

SMRT Trains Ltd in Singapore seeks a Manager/Senior Manager, Civil, Architecture & PWAY Engineering to lead a team responsible for maintaining railway infrastructure to meet safety, reliability and KPI targets. The role covers depots, tracks, and related assets with shift flexibility.

You will coach engineers, conduct failure analyses, plan maintenance and asset programs, and collaborate with Ops, Projects, and external partners to improve system performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in the specified engineering fields with at least 8 years in managerial roles.
• Railway system exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work in SMRT depots, tracks or facilities.
• Work in rotating or fixed shifts per MOM guidelines.
• Lead team to meet daily, short-term and long-term KPIs.
• Collaborate with Ops, Maintenance and other departments for reliability.
• Ensure safety and integrity via maintenance planning and asset care.
• Identify safety and reliability concerns and develop solutions.
• Review technical work instructions for maintenance and QA.
• Review System Hazard log and Risk register.
• Identify and implement cost-effective tech or process changes.
• Support LTA and SMRT projects reviewing designs for safety and operability.
• Coach and develop team in engineering and management.
• Ensure knowledge management for systems.
• Plan annual budget and workplan for unit.
• Identify safety concerns and report them.
• Perform additional tasks as required (admin, emergencies, project support, reports).
