Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd in Singapore is seeking a senior engineering professional to lead workflow effectiveness and reliability improvements across inspection, maintenance and related activities for railway infrastructure.

You will collaborate with operations, manage contractors, and develop training materials while rotating across divisions as needed. Proficiency in Python/MATLAB and strong analytical abilities are essential for this role.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Civil & Structural Engineering.
Railway systems experience is advantageous.
Fluent in English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work in SMRT depots, tracks or facilities.
Rotate or fixed shifts.
Support the division’s efforts to achieve daily, short-term, and long-term objectives and KPIs.
Responsible to ensure the timely completion of all duties and/or projects.
Work effectively with Operations and Maintenance staff and other departments to ensure safe, reliable daily operations.
Identify safety and reliability concerns and develop solutions.
Draft technical work instructions for maintenance activities and quality procedures.
Identify, propose, and implement cost effective technologies or changes to processes.
Support project reviews with LTA and SMRT to ensure safety, reliability and operability.
Assist in planning annual budget and workplan.
Undertake any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
