Job summary

Alexandra Hospital is seeking a Senior Radiographer to supervise radiographers and staff, ensuring high-quality imaging services across modalities such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography and interventional radiology. The role includes coaching, QA oversight, and maintaining safety standards in a busy radiology department.

The successful candidate will hold AHPC registration, possess a recognised degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography, and bring at least 5 years of specialised experience

Qualifications

• AHPC registration is required.
• Degree/Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography from an approved institution.
• 5 years of specialised experience in Mammography/Breast Imaging/Ultrasound/CT/MRI/Interventional Radiology preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership potential and patient-centric care.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; customer-oriented and computer-literate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee radiography sections and supervise radiographers and staff.
• Perform general radiography and at least one advanced imaging modality (CT/MRI/Ultrasound/Mammography/Interventional Radiology).
• Administer contrast media when required and manage equipment usage in the section.
• Ensure QA programmes are implemented and drive continuous improvement.
• Train and coach radiography staff and maintain safe radiation practices.
