Qualifications

• Recognised Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• AHPC registration is required or eligible for registration.
• Experience with sonography is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiography and ultrasound examinations within your scope of practice.
• Provide imaging services to patients as requested by referring physicians and compliant with regulations.
• Ensure proper handling and familiarisation with imaging equipment to avoid misuse.
• Conduct necessary quality assurance tests before using equipment on patients.
• Support doctors, nurses and staff with compassionate patient care and respectful interactions.
• Ensure compliance with radiology safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the PACS administrator to ensure studies are stored and transmitted correctly.

We are seeking a qualified Radiographer with Sonography/Ultrasound training and experience to join our Radiology department.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform general radiography and ultrasound examinations within your scope of practice.
• Provides imaging services to patients as requested by referring physicians or as allowed by statutory regulations and according to acceptable standards.
• To ensure familiarization of use and correct handling of imaging equipment to avoid incorrect equipment usage.
• To conduct necessary quality assurance tests before equipment is used on patients.
• Support the team (doctors, nurses and support staff) in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
• To ensure compliance of radiology safety policy.
• Work closely with Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) administrator to ensure studies are sent and stored in the PACS correctly without errors.

Requirement

• Recognised Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography
• Registered with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
• Experienced candidates will be considered for Senior roles.
• Experience with sonography will be an advantage.
