Job summary

Farrer Park Hospital Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Radiographer to perform a full range of diagnostic imaging with high service quality and patient care.

You will ensure safety, accurate labeling, and proper exam completion, while delivering efficient imaging and QA on equipment. Requirements include a Bachelor/Diploma in Radiography, AHPC registration, 2+ years in Singapore, and familiarity with CT/MRI/Ultrasound/Mammography. On-call duties may apply for certain suites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography.
• Fully registered with Allied Health Professions Council.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Singapore as a Radiographer.
• Experience in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography preferred.
• Senior position for candidates with modality management experience.
• Good customer service, telephone and public relations skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good command of spoken and written English, second language helpful.
• Working knowledge of PACS system.
• 5.5 days work week for Diagnostic Imaging Suite; HealthConnexion vacancies no on-calls.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging services according to SOP standards.
• Ensure examinations are for the correct patient with proper consent.
• Maintain optimal image quality with correct labeling and completion before reporting.
• Verify examination codes entered in the system match requested exams.
• Explain examinations to patients and estimated duration.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being during and after exams.
• Protect patients and staff from unnecessary ionizing radiation exposure.
• Perform on-call and after-hours duties when required.
• Conduct daily QA on equipment per manufacturers' recommendations.
• Undertake other duties as instructed by the Director.

Job description

The Radiographer will perform the range of diagnostic imaging modalities, which the hospital is providing, with high level of service quality, patient care, efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards described in SOP.
• Ensure examination is performed to the correct patient and observes radiation safety rule and respective procedural consents described in SOP.
• Ensure the quality of the film is optimal, it is correctly labeled and the examination requested has been completed before sending for reporting or providing as wet-film to patient.
• Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested.
• Explain the examination to the patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it.
• Ensure patients' safety, physical and emotional well-being is taken care of during and after the examination.
• Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
• Perform on‑call and after hours duties when necessary, ensure prompt response which is in line with the prescribed standard of the Hospital.
• Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers' recommendations to ensure optimal performance of these equipment.
• Perform any other duties as instructed by the Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.
• Fully registered with Allied Health Professions Council.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Singapore as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging facility.
• Experience in sub‑specialties preferred as in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography.
• Those with previous experience in managing Modality areas will be considered for senior position.
• Good customer service, telephone and public relations skill.
• Proficient in MS Office applications - Words, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Good command of spoken, written English, and a second language.
• Working knowledge of PACS system.
• For vacancies at Diagnostic Imaging Suite - 5.5 days work week and able to perform on‑call duties.
• For vacancies at HealthConnexion- 5.5 days work week; no on‑calls.
