Qualifications

  • Professional Licence: R1 license with Centre for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Sciences, National Environment Agency.
  • Timely update and renewal of RI license.
  • Registration with Allied Health Professions Council.
  • Mammography and ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Radiographer is responsible for the providing prompt diagnostic imaging services to the patient, ensuring patient safety and proper care of equipment. Assist Centre In-charge/ Senior or Principal Radiographer to guide and supervise junior and student radiographers when required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform general radiographic examinations and/or at least one of the area of specialty including mammography and/or ultrasound and/or Bone Mineral Densitometry.
  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of the patient.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment; adhere to safe work practices especially in radiation safety and infection control.
  • Ensure proper usage and care for all equipment at the specific diagnostic centre.
  • Perform other administrative duties or ad-hoc quality departmental projects/activities as assigned by the reporting officer/ Lead Radiographer.
  • Apply the ALARA principle for all procedures.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of the allocated diagnostic centre.
  • Render prompt and courteous service delivery to external and internal customers.
  • Ensure efficient running and operations of their area of responsibility.
  • Assist the Radiographer-In-Charge / Senior or Principal Radiographer to ensure quality control procedures are performed diligently.
  • Ensure AHPC certification is achieved after one / two years depending on qualification(s).
Job Requirements

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Effective communications and coaching skills.
  • Good team player.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Mammography and ultrasound experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in vernacular languages.
  • Knowledge of basic programming and advanced applications of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of NGEMR, Epic usage and RISPACS would be an additional advantage.

(Please note that the working hours is on 5.5 days' work week)
