Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE LTD in Tuas seeks an R&D Specialist to develop, evaluate, and optimize waste treatment and recovery processes for specialty chemicals. A PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years in related industries is required, with responsibilities spanning lab work, pilot trials, and collaboration across teams.

You will grow lab capabilities, drive process improvements, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

PhD required in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
5+ years in specialty chemical manufacturing/applications, oil & gas or water treatment.

Responsibilities

Develop, evaluate, and optimize treatment and handling processes for waste streams.
Design and implement resource recovery processes from waste streams.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to identify opportunities and support pilot trials.
Identify and implement new technologies and collaborate with external partners.
Establish and improve laboratory capabilities and analytical methods.
Drive continuous improvement of operations through process optimization.
Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance and proper lab housekeeping.
Support evaluation of handling procedures for high-risk/high-value wastes.
Contribute to new business development and facility planning.
