Job summary

Zhong Sing Design Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction and interior fit-out team. You will prepare cost estimates, take-offs from drawings, tender documents and cost reports.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline, can read architectural drawings, and is familiar with progress claims, VOs, tendering and subcontractor quotations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in construction, renovation or interior fit-out.
• Good understanding of construction materials, methods and costing.
• Able to read architectural and construction drawings.
• Familiar with progress claims, VOs, tendering and subcontractor quotations.
• Good negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Organised, responsible and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of the Singapore construction industry will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quotations and tender documents
• Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Prepare and assess progress claims, variation orders (VOs) and final accounts
• Monitor project costs and ensure works remain within the approved budget
• Prepare subcontractor payment certifications and cost reports
• Review contracts, quotations and project documentation
• Work closely with Project Managers, Designers, Consultants and Site Teams
• Attend site meetings and conduct site measurements when required
• Track project profitability and provide regular cost updates to management
