Job summary

RTX is seeking a senior Quality leader to direct and advance the Quality organization across our aerospace operations. You will drive policy implementation, audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement while partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet stringent customer requirements.

You will mentor talent, establish KPIs, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with CORE and regulatory standards to deliver high-quality products and services for global customers.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading quality teams in highly regulated aerospace environments.
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain quality policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and Nadcap audit processes.
  • Strong CAPA, root cause analysis, and corrective action skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop Quality personnel to meet objectives and customer requirements.
  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve Quality policies, procedures, and activities.
  • Promote effective communication of quality information across functions and sites.
  • Review manpower, allocation, and capacity to ensure adequate Quality support.
  • Establish equipment, inspection, and calibration requirements for reliability and compliance.
  • Drive audits, including internal, customer, regulatory, and Nadcap, with timely closure of findings.
  • Establish and monitor Quality KPIs and budgets aligned with business goals.
  • Mentor Quality talent and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop Quality personnel to ensure performance meets established quality objectives, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve Quality policies, procedures, and activities.
  • Promote effective communication and the sharing of quality-related information, best practices, and technical knowledge across functions.
  • Review manpower requirements, resource allocation, and capacity planning to ensure adequate Quality support for operational and business needs.
  • Establish and review equipment, inspection, and calibration requirements to ensure reliability, compliance, and optimal utilization of Quality resources.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, regulatory changes, and developments in Quality practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements, equipment, systems, and technologies that enhance product quality and process capability.
  • Establish and manage Quality operating budgets, monitor expenditures and resource utilization, and ensure effective prioritization of spending in line with business objectives.
  • Lead and support the implementation of applicable Quality Management System requirements, including AS9100, customer-specific requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive audit readiness and compliance activities, including internal, customer, regulatory, and Nadcap audits, and ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve Quality KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure effective management of non-conformances, customer complaints, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions to minimize recurrence and improve overall product and process quality.
  • Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of CORE operating systems and support the achievement and sustainment of applicable CORE certification levels.
  • Forge and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and Collins Aerospace sites, including US sites, to ensure alignment on quality requirements and objectives.
  • Develop and mentor Quality talent through coaching, training, competency development, and succession planning to establish strong technical capability and bench strength within the Quality organization.
  • Promote a strong Quality culture by encouraging employee ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and adherence to established processes and standards.
  • Lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance and escalation support to Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functional teams.
  • Ensure effective communication of Quality objectives, performance, risks, and key issues to management and relevant stakeholders.
