Job summary

Molex in Singapore seeks a proactive Engineer in Quality (MQA) to drive quality excellence across subcontractor manufacturing operations. You will develop and execute strategic quality plans, resolve complex quality issues, and ensure adherence to QMS.

You will work with cross-functional teams and external partners to uphold superior product quality and efficiency. The role requires 5+ years in quality engineering, proficiency in QC tools, and strong leadership and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (Degree preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering or related roles.
• Proficient in QC core tools, SPC, 8D reporting, control plans, PFMEA, APQP.
• Knowledgeable in quality standards such as ISO 9001, TS16949, PPAP.
• Skilled in MS Office, basic GD&T or technical drawing interpretation, and QMS auditing.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and statistical skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality indicators and drive plans to meet goals.
• Execute high-level quality strategic plans.
• Lead analysis of daily process issues, improve scrap and yield, and engage Product Engineers early.
• Provide disposition for in-process, outgoing, incoming rejects, and stop shipments to prevent defects.
• Analyze process weaknesses and coordinate improvements with internal and subcontractors.
• Review and update SOPs, checklists, control plans, and inspection instructions.
• Review quality procedures to ensure compliance.
• Investigate customer complaints and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Liaise with upstream/downstream engineers to resolve issues.
• Plan and conduct audits of processes, customers, and suppliers.
• Perform regular MSA (GR&R) on equipment and operators.
• Implement error-proofing and qualification plans.
• Apply PBM guiding principles to influence decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
