Job summary

Molex is seeking a Process Engineer in the Outsource Department in Singapore to drive quality, yield, and productivity improvements. You will release new products to manufacturing, resolve issues impacting production, and lead machine and process improvements while supervising engineers and technicians.

The role involves asset tracking, ensuring 100% asset accuracy at subcontractor locations, and fostering continuous improvement within the quality system.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in process improvement and quality systems.
• Ability to perceive directional errors and propose effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality, yield, and productivity improvements, ensuring smooth product releases to manufacturing and resolving any issues affecting part production.
• Design and develop production processes for new product launches at subcontractor locations, including setting up lines, process flow, and conducting process capability studies.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to allocate resources for project transfers, ensuring capacity and quality requirements are met.
• Prepare requisition plans for machines, equipment, and other production needs for new projects or sample production.
• Analyze production line efficiency, ensuring safety compliance and adherence to quality and environmental management procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
• Introduce new solutions and technologies in production process design, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Conduct defect analysis and propose improvement activities to enhance product quality.
• Ensure 100% asset accuracy at subcontractor locations.
