Job summary

ADECCO PERSONNEL PTE LTD is seeking a Mid to Senior Quality Engineer to champion quality, embedding testing early and driving AI-powered testing strategies. You will shape engineering culture, coach teams in TDD/BDD, and lead automation initiatives across unit to end-to-end testing.

Collaborating with product, software, design, and DevOps, you will ensure reliability, security, performance, and user experience across government-grade digital services.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Software Engineering.
• Experience designing automated testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with modern automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium).
• Strong API testing experience with Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with containerised environments and cloud platforms.
• Experience testing distributed systems, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Champion Quality Engineering: Define and drive the overall quality engineering strategy for CrowdTaskSG.
• Establish quality standards, testing principles, and engineering best practices across all products.
• Shift quality ownership left by embedding testing early in the development lifecycle.
• Build a strong culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.
• Drive Test-Driven Development (TDD): Coach engineers in adopting TDD/BDD.
• Review implementation approaches to ensure unit, integration, API, and end-to-end test coverage.
• Work with engineering leads to design features with testability in mind.
• Advocate for automated regression coverage before production deployment.
• Lead Test Automation: Design, develop, maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployments.
• Expand automation across Unit, Integration, API, End-to-End UI, Contract, Performance, Security testing.
• Drive AI-Powered Quality Engineering: Evaluate AI-assisted testing tools.
• Engineering Enablement: Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, create libraries, run workshops.
• Quality Governance: Define and monitor quality metrics and improvements.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate tools and practices to reduce defects and boost velocity.
