Job summary

Dyson is seeking a senior quality and verification leader to own the quality strategy across embedded software, app, IoT, and cloud platforms. You will build high-performing Test & QA teams and provide technical direction for system, integration, protocol, connectivity, security testing, and test architecture for multi‑platform systems.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software/embedded/IoT/app/cloud testing, incl. 7+ years managing Test & QA teams.
• Proven experience managing hardware and software quality for large-scale, multi-platform products.
• Strong depth in automation, CI/CD, protocol testing, embedded testing, API testing, and mobile test frameworks.
• Excellent leadership and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Ability to mentor teams and uplift engineering standards.
• Systems thinking across embedded, electrical, mechanical, cloud, and app ecosystems.
• Experience with full lifecycle and Agile testing processes.
• Ability to shape long-term testing capability and lead automation transformation.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the quality and verification strategy across embedded software, app, IoT, and cloud platforms.
• Build and develop high-performing Test & QA teams, coach leads and managers.
• Provide technical direction for system, integration, protocol, connectivity, security testing; test architecture and automation strategy.
• Drive innovation in HIL automation, simulation, data-driven testing, and AI-enabled test methods.
• Represent Test & QA in program governance, influence release decisions with quality evidence.
• Oversee quality metrics, dashboards, analytics for defect trends, maturity, reliability insights.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards: security, RF, Matter, safety, market regulations.
• Stay updated on automation testing strategies, tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with project managers, design managers and architects to test plan & strategy and budget.
• Report test progress & software quality status to senior stakeholders and ensure clear communication.
