Senior QA Engineer: Automation, API & Security Testing

Job summary

Argyll Scott is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to support QA of digital products across mobile, desktop and web platforms. You will design, develop and execute automated and manual test coverage, with a focus on functional and API testing, while contributing to test strategy and quality improvements.

You will work with SDETs, architects, technical leads and Agile teams throughout the product lifecycle to ensure high quality releases and robust testing practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of QA/software testing experience.
• Experience coordinating with offshore teams and SDET leads.
• Strong understanding of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Hands-on with JIRA, Confluence, Git and Jenkins.
• Able to identify risks and defects with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute automated test suites for functional and API tests.
• Review requirements and contribute to test strategies and testing approaches.
• Assess application flows and interactions between components.
• Perform manual and automated regression testing across platforms.
• Create BDD scripts using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Build and execute automation tests, troubleshoot scripts and defects.
• Test APIs with Postman and support load testing scripts.
• Conduct application security testing using Netsparker and Burp Suite.
