Job summary

Zenika Singapore is seeking a backend-focused consultant who excels in building high-performance Python services and data pipelines. You will design and implement robust microservices, API contracts, and scalable data access layers, collaborating closely with client engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python and async programming.
• Solid understanding of microservices, RESTful design, and distributed systems.
• Experience writing robust test suites (PyTest) and clean code practices.
• Hands-on DevOps experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high-performance backend systems and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with client engineering teams to implement robust, scalable solutions.
• Architect and implement API contracts (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) for frontend partners.
• Design data access layers across relational and NoSQL stores.
• Promote engineering standards including TDD, code reviews and living documentation.
• Develop cloud-native deployments with automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in architectural discussions.
