The Psychologist / Senior Psychologist is required to provide psychometric assessments and intervention programmes for patients within the Child Development Unit of the Department of Paediatrics. They will be involved in data collection and analysis to support research and inform psychoeducational programmes. The Psychologist works under the supervision of a Senior Psychologist.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct appropriate psychometric assessments and interpret results for referred patients.
  • Accurately document assessment findings and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate intervention/group programmes for referred patients.
  • Senior Psychologist will focus on specialization in psychology and initiate new psychological services.
  • Develop materials for teaching and training.
  • Provide in-service training for department staff as needed.
  • Supervise psychology interns during clinical attachments.
  • Contribute to team operational tasks.
  • Participate in research projects as a team member.
  • Provide expertise for media queries from magazines, newspapers, or other channels via our Corporate Communications department.
  • Senior Psychologist to lead talks on psychological, learning, or developmental disorders for health providers or the public.

Requirements:

  • Master of Psychology, with specialization in Educational/School Psychology or Clinical Psychology, from an accredited university.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with a recognized psychological professional body.
  • Fresh Master graduates with relevant internship or work experience prior to/during Masters training are an advantage.
  • Clinical training in assessments and/or therapy for children.
  • Motivated team player who can work independently and provide high-standard patient care.
