Job summary

TRACEBUILD E&C PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager in site supervision and to coordinate technical and management aspects of construction projects in Singapore.

You will help plan and schedule, participate in tendering and budgeting, and ensure on-time project delivery with strict safety and quality standards. The role requires a degree/diploma in Engineering, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and lead

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Must be able to comprehend written or verbal graphic instructions.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Must be able to write/understand engineering reports.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Good team player and customer-focused with excellent communication.
• Able to work under pressure with high initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in site supervision.
• Plan, schedule, forecast, conduct and coordinate technical and management aspects of projects.
• Manage and plan construction projects.
• Assist in project tendering and budgeting within estimated cost.
• Control costs of materials and labor.
• Coordinate and check engineering deliverables.
• Attend site meetings, inspections and monitor project progress.
• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, authorities and agencies to ensure successful project implementation.
• Prepare monthly project status reports and change orders.
• Manage daily operation of project execution.
• Share information with juniors to guide construction work.
• Advise workers on construction process and address concerns.
• Solve construction problems with sound approaches.
• Act as quality control/assurance to meet project objectives.
• Ensure construction safety rules and regulations are observed.
• Obtain and verify construction materials.
• Schedule daily construction work.
• Set preferred construction methods.
• Ensure project starts on time and ends within duration.
