Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage complex programmes within our Advanced Networks & Sensors group. You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely project deliveries, keeping scope, cost and schedule aligned with business goals.

You will plan, coordinate and report on project progress, interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams, while supporting tender bids and resource planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of Project Management experience preferred.
• Experience interfacing with customers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with the defence industry is an advantage.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel overseas.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee projects to meet scope, time and budget.
• Develop project scopes with stakeholders and ensure feasibility.
• Interface with customers to report progress and status.
• Support bid manager during tender/prospect bids.
• Coordinate with procurement, legal, finance, QA, HR as needed.
• Manage resources, budgeting, and risk for project delivery.
• Jointly deliver the planned revenue targets.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will maintain, establish and build relationships and partnerships with internal & external stakeholders for timely project deliveries

• Responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure timely completion according to scope and within allocated budget
• Responsible for developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Responsible for interfacing and engaging customers on a regular basis to follow up on project progress and status
• Responsible to support the bid manager during tender/prospect bids on managing overall project resources and schedule
• Responsible for interfacing with internal supporting resources including procurement, legal, finance, QA, HR on project matters wherever necessary
• Tasks include but not limited to project planning, project resources allocation, budget preparation, progress monitoring, and keeping all (internal/external) stakeholders updated on project progress and status
• Joint responsibility with business owner for the delivery of the planned revenue target.

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge in Engineering Field e.g. Electronics, Mechatronics
• Minimum 3-5 years of Project Management experience is preferred
• Proven success player as an independent, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in team environment and individually
• Proven working experience as a project administrator in the communication and/or information technology sector
• Experience with Communications System Solutions is an advantage
• Familiarity with the defence industry (local and/or international) is an advantage
• Project Professional Management (PMP) Certification is a plus
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skill, and presentation ability
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to travel overseas if required
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for senior role.
