Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a DevOps/Systems Engineer to join our Mission Software & Services team in Singapore. You will maintain and optimise critical C3 systems, work with virtualization and cloud platforms, and help deliver automation and reliable infrastructure across enterprise environments.

The role calls for robust problem solving, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Good planning, coordination, and communication abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, maintain and support systems on various platforms for high-volume environments.
• Collaborate with third-party admins or vendors to resolve integration issues.
• Participate in technical and design discussions with engineering and operations teams.
• Manage setup, upgrade, migration, deployment of system/software as part of projects.
• Implement and deploy developments, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
• Define and improve DevOps processes for development, testing, release, and support.
• Monitor platform health and automate tasks to meet operational needs.
• Provide regular status reporting on health, progress, issues, and risks.
• Support hardware refresh, firmware and software updates, and documentation of changes.
• Troubleshoot on-site and off-site system issues.

Be Part of Our Success

• Deliver, Maintain and support systems on various Platforms to deliver optimal performance in high volume enterprise environments.
• Work with third party system administrators or vendors to resolve integration issues.
• Participate in key technical and design discussions with engineering and operations teams.
• Manage or participate in setup, upgrade, migration, deployment of system/software as part of the project
• Implementing and setting up various developments, testing, automation tools, and required IT infrastructure
• Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
• Monitor health of the platforms for periodic reporting and provide continuous improvements such as automating manual tasks to meet demanding ops needs.
• Provide regular status reporting to management and other stakeholders on overall system’s health, progress, issues, and technical risks.
• Support hardware refresh and hardening of systems.
• Support firmware and software update/upgrade.
• Perform documentation on the changes and automation works performed.
• On and offsite troubleshooting and rectifying system issues

Qualities We Value

• Keen interest in systems related work scope.- Knowledge and experiences with servers virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare, Nutanix etc), Cloud Platforms(Azure, AWS etc), operating systems (Windows, LINUX etc), Dockers
• Critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
• Good planning and coordination skills.
• Strong writing, verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Prefer 3-4 years’ experience and above
• Entry level candidates are welcome. Candidates with more/ complexity of experience will be considered for a senior role
