Job summary

ENGIE Southeast Asia is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of Data Centre construction projects from design coordination through site execution and project completion.

The role involves planning with the Project Manager, coordinating site works, reviewing drawings and method statements, and ensuring QA/QC, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction across teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project delivery.
• Experience in Data Centre projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, site supervision, and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing project activities.
• Oversee site works to ensure compliance with project schedules, specifications, quality standards, and ESH requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Review project specifications, drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and technical submissions.
• Attend design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with the BIM team to coordinate and update electrical drawings, including containment, power, lighting layouts, and SLDs.
• Support the timely issuance of IFC drawings for construction.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, QA/QC records, inspection reports, and monthly progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works are delivered to the required quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities on project-related matters.
• Assist in resolving technical and site issues, as well as verifying subcontractor progress claims.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with Procore; familiarity with MS Project is advantageous.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination and electrical systems/design drawings is preferred.
• Candidates with Electrical trade experience in Data Centre construction environments will have an advantage.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
