Job summary

Adecco Personnel Pte Ltd is partnering with a world leader in industrial gases and related services to recruit a Mechanical Project Engineer / Site Supervisor in Singapore. This 1-year contract role focuses on on-site coordination of mechanical and piping installation, supervising contractors and consultants to ensure timely completion.

You will review drawings, assist procurement, scheduling, and safety compliance, and support budgeting and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical project engineering or site supervision.
• Experience in process plants, EPC, industrial construction, or plant installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of process piping, equipment installation, P&IDs, PFDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Familiar with Singapore construction codes and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise mechanical and piping installation works on site.
• Manage daily project activities, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Monitor project schedules, progress, and resolve site issues to ensure timely completion.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and installation plans.
• Work with drafters to prepare piping layouts, isometric drawings, and installation drawings.
• Support procurement, tender preparation, and equipment/material sourcing.
• Coordinate commissioning, testing, and handover of equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct toolbox meetings, and maintain work permits.
• Prepare project progress reports and attend project meetings.
• Assist the Project Manager with budgeting, CAPEX, and cost control.
