Job summary

PM Group in Singapore invites a Senior Project Control Specialist to join the Project Management Department. The role focuses on project controls, cost management and data analytics for complex capital projects across multiple sectors.

You will lead scheduling efforts, coordinate planning sessions, track progress, and report variances while ensuring alignment with budgets and staffing plans. Prior experience in pharma/biopharma or mission-critical projects is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project controls.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Mission Critical or Pharma/Biopharma preferred.
• Knowledge of costing and scheduling of capital projects.
• Familiarity with local permits, building codes and regulatory issues.

Responsibilities

• Use Microsoft Project to prepare baseline schedules across project phases.
• Coordinate planning sessions to formulate activities and scheduling.
• Set up progress measurement and tracking for multiple projects.
• Coordinate with project leads to drive proactive project execution.
• Generate look-ahead schedules and monitor critical paths.
• Prepare regular project reports including variance reports.
• Maintain Staffing Plans and track budget variances.

Job description

PM Group is hiring a Senior Project Control Specialist to join the Project Management Department in Singapore. The department provides project controls, cost management and data analytics to our project teams on complex, capital projects in the life sciences, food and beverage, mission critical, advanced manufacturing, and medtech sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use Microsoft Project to prepare overall baseline schedules comprising various phases i.e. Pre-concept/Concept Design; Basic Design; Detailed Design; Construction & Commissioning; Qualifications.
• Coordinate planning sessions as necessary to formulate project activities and scheduling.
• Set-up progress measurement/tracking for the various projects.
• Coordinate with the various project leads and stakeholders so as to take a proactive approach in driving projects.
• Generate look ahead schedules to relevant project team members.
• Monitor critical paths and follow up accordingly with the relevant stakeholders.
• Highlight to the various project leads and capital project manager of any scheduling issues or potential problems.
• Prepare and issue regular project reports including biweekly/monthly variance reports.
• Set up and maintain Staffing Plan for the various projects as appropriate.
• Track and monitor projects as per baseline project budgets, highlighting variances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree holder in Engineering discipline
• Min 10 years of relevant experience
• Prior work experience in Manufacturing, Mission Critical and Pharma/Biopharma industries is preferred
• Knowledge of costing and scheduling of capital projects
• Vast knowledge of all local legal issues, permits, and building codes involved
