Job summary

BD is a global medical technology leader in Singapore seeking a Production Operator for the Tuas Plant. You will operate and maintain production equipment, perform troubleshooting, monitor product quality, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding GMP, safety and environmental standards.

You will collaborate with a production team to meet targets, develop Standard Work Instructions, train technicians, and participate in daily handovers and CI initiatives.

Qualifications

• NITEC or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing or technical environments preferred.
• Able to follow SOPs, work instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance including cleaning, servicing and part replacement.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct machine setup, adjustments and product changeovers.
• Support machine enhancement projects and CI initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and procedures.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve process reliability and product quality.
• Train, coach and support technicians and new employees on operations.
• Collaborate with Engineers on process improvements and CI projects.
• Participate in daily shift handover meetings and team performance discussions.
• Contribute to Kaizen, 20 Keys, safety programs, and team-building activities.
• Support GMP, environmental, health and safety requirements.
