Job summary
BD's Tuas Plant in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated assembly equipment ensuring safe, reliable production. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, carry out setup, calibration, and tool changes, and work with Engineers to resolve complex issues.
The role expects hands-on experience with high-volume manufacturing, pneumatic and electrical components, and a mindset for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- NITEC or Diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.
- Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with automated assembly equipment.
- Familiar with pneumatic systems, sensors, motors, actuators.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated assembly equipment and manufacturing machinery.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, diagnose issues, and restore production quickly.
- Support machine setup, tool changes, calibration, and product changeovers.
- Collaborate with Engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
