TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of production operators in a chemical manufacturing setting. You will oversee training, guidance and performance management while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Collaborating with Production Planning, QA, Engineering and Facilities, you will execute production schedules, monitor KPIs, control costs and support ISO audits, 8D and MOC activities as required.
Lead and supervise a team of production operators, including training, guidance and performance management.
Coordinate daily manufacturing activities involving solvent production, acid production and spent chemical distillation/recovery.
Work closely with Production Planning to execute production schedules and meet production targets.
Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure timely issuance of raw materials to the production floor.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements, including safety procedures, audits and corrective actions.
Work with Production Engineering and QA teams to investigate and resolve production and quality issues.
Coordinate with Facilities and Maintenance on preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting and downtime reduction.
Monitor production costs including labour, materials and utilities and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Logistics and other cross-functional teams.
Monitor production, quality, safety and efficiency KPIs.
Support ISO compliance and customer audits, including follow-up and closure of findings.
Support 8D and MOC reports, safety investigations and assigned corrective actions.
Prepare production and management reports using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Manage indirect production activities including waste management, packaging and dip-tube cleaning.
Support small-scale production projects and other duties assigned by the Deputy Plant Manager.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline preferred.
Minimum 5 years of production supervisory experience, preferably within chemical, petrochemical or related manufacturing industries.
Strong understanding of chemical processes, manufacturing operations and safety standards.
Relevant warehouse/logistics experience may also be considered even without the stated academic qualifications.
Experience leading and managing production operators.
Comfortable working in a chemical manufacturing environment and wearing the required PPE.
Comfortable with exposure to chemicals, compounds, fumes and smells, including hazardous chemicals.
Able to respond appropriately to workplace emergencies.
Experience with ISO audits, 8D, MOC, production KPIs and safety investigations would be advantageous.
