Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in Test Engineering, Design Verification or V&V.
• Experience with medical device quality, regulatory controls is preferred.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data interpretation (Minitab/JMP helpful).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute design verification plans to ensure product requirements are met.
• Establish test methods, acceptance criteria and documentation for verification activities.
• Coordinate test readiness: samples, equipment, fixtures and protocols.
• Develop and validate test procedures for product verification and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on test approaches for new designs.
• Design and maintain test fixtures and lab test setups.
• Perform reliability, life and failure testing on mechanical, electrical and system levels.
• Review test data and apply statistical methods to identify trends.
• Prepare verification protocols, reports and traceability documentation.
• Support design improvements and regulatory compliance.

Job description

Our client is one of the leading players in the medical devices manufacturing sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a multiple headcounts of Senior Product Test Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute design verification plans to assess whether product requirements are adequately met.
• Establish suitable test methods, acceptance criteria and documentation for verification activities.
• Coordinate test readiness activities, ensuring samples, equipment, fixtures and protocols are prepared before testing.
• Develop and validate test procedures and methods for product verification and performance assessment.
• Work with engineering teams to establish practical test approaches for new product designs and requirements.
• Design and maintain test fixtures, jigs and electro-mechanical test setups for laboratory testing.
• Perform verification, feasibility, reliability and life testing across mechanical, electrical and system-level components.
• Conduct reliability, accelerated life and failure testing to evaluate product performance and design robustness.
• Review and analyse test data, using appropriate statistical methods to identify trends and potential issues.
• Prepare and maintain verification protocols, test reports and technical documentation, ensuring proper traceability and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues, support design improvements and meet applicable medical device requirements.
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' relevant experience in Test Engineering, Design Verification or V&V
• Skills in test method development, product testing and design verification will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with medical device design controls, risk management and quality/regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and test data interpretation; experience with tools such as Minitab or JMP will be advantageous.
